Offset Driveshaft

The position of the engine powerhead is forward, thus moving the center of gravity of the Outboard forward.

2-Stage Gear Reduction

This system incorporates the OFFSET DRIVESHAFT feature as the first reduction stage between the crankshaft and the drive shaft, and the second reduction stage in the gear case. This design allows for a larger gear ratio, and is capable of rotating large diameter propellers.

VVT (Variable Valve Timing)

Variable Valve Timing is used to control the opening and closing times of the intake valves depending on the operation of the engine.

Self Adjusting Timing Chain

The timing chain moves in an oil reservoir so it never needs relubrication, and is equipped with an automatic hydraulic tensioner so that it provides precise adjustments every time.

Suzuki Water Detecting System

Helps protect the engine from water during fuel use, using a water detection alert on the fuel filter to provide the operator with a warning image and sound when water is in the fuel.

Lean Burn

The Lean Burn Control System provides the right intake of the fuel and air mixture according to navigation conditions.

Tilt Limit System

A tilt limit system that prevents the Outboard from tilting past a specified angle.
